ARTIST STATEMENT:
Flora Fauna Funga is a short documentary featuring the voice of Chilean mycologist Giuliana Furci, a renowned Chilean mycologist who has successfully campaigned to get fungal conservation written into Chilean law. Giuliana has spent her career studying fungi and shining a light on their elusive, hidden world. The piece brings to life some of her insights into the work of fungal discovery, and on how language and education is beginning to bring fungal stories to the front and centre of ecological conversations around the world.
