ARTIST STATEMENT:
I made this piece while studying radio documentary at Salt in Portland, Maine. I was particularly interested in decolonizing the interviewing and audio editing process. How do I ask for vulnerability in way that is not extractive? When do I weave my voice into the story? How can I create a non-linear audio collage that centres Heather and Maria's agency?
