ARTIST STATEMENT:
“Still Life with Oxygen Tank” was recorded in Naples (Italy), my native city, which I visited last September after over two years of absence due to the pandemic.I was shocked to see my mother bedridden with oxygen therapy because of a respiratory disease — a condition she has surrendered to as if it were the end of her life. This audio piece is my way of telling her to believe that it is not. It is also the sound of my hometown.
